2015 – 2018
Concept, art direction and graphic design for the then-new magazine Places, a newspaper-sized publication featuring a guide to cool stores, restaurants and bars, as well as portraits of local brands and manufacturers. Each issue features a Swiss city and contains an on-location photo shoot.
2006 – 2011
During my full-time employment at the Swiss snowboard, bike and street-wear brand “Zimtstern,” I was responsible for design and development of the men’s outerwear and street-wear collection, as well as parts of the accessories and backpack collection.
Working with a great team of graphic designers, photographers and developers, as well as travelling to China for production purposes, helped me develop my own view and gain experience that goes beyond designing a good-looking jacket.

The Swiss lighting brand RIBAG is well known for its radically stripped-to-the-bone luminaire-designs. Pure, clean and therefore timeless. I was looking for the same approach when asked to conceive a new publication for the brand.
1999 – 2013
Establishing and developing a small surf-wear label with my best buddies was a great experience and a lot of fun!

During my post-graduate studies at ZHDK (CAS in typography and print), I took part in an interesting project with the legendary Berlin-based art director Mario Lombardo.
The idea behind the conceptual magazine HUM was to create a visual story referring to a famous song. This one is about Prince’s
“I Would Die 4 U.”
My story “Holy Trap!” depicted different ways for animals to commit suicide.

2011 – 2015
Helping out former professional Swiss snowboarder Daniel “Gummi” Rietmann with his Project “Gummilove” came naturally to me. Gummi used his nickname (“Rubber” in English) and his popularity within the Swiss snowboard scene to promote safe love amongst the young people by making the use of condoms cool (again).
It was a great way to give something back to society and to work for good karma instead of a big buck.
2014 – Now

The idea behind the conceptual magazine HUM was to create a visual story referring to a famous song. This one is about “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys.
Bringing together iconic pictures of the city and more or less famous quotes about the Big Apple makes for interesting combinations. For the typography I used the iconic green colour
of New York street signage and the font “Raleway.”
2015 – Now
Concept, art direction and graphic design for the new magazine from Swiss distributor “Keramikland” focusing on bathroom equipment and tiles.
2011
Creative concept and design of the complete bike apparel line (both men and women) for the Swiss brand “Zimtstern.”

Full-time employment as Art Director and Graphic Designer at the Swiss interior design and architecture magazine “Wohnrevue,” with over 36 issues released under my name.

2012
My friend Danijel Dedic and I participated in the art project “Take a Seat.” Four designers are asked to redesign a series of four “Horgenglarus” chairs, which are then used at the café “Z am Park” in Zurich. After a period of three months, the chairs are put up for auction.
The idea was that pieces of light-coloured bark “fight” their way to the surface of a darkly painted chair in an attempt to reclaim the material.
2012
Re-branding of Zurich based company "Envode", focussing on video-editing and digital storytelling.
The idea behind the logo was to put the typography on a black 16:9 background and cutting the letters imitating a falling curtain.
Not executed.

This font was created after visiting the after diploma studies (CAS) in Typography and Print at ZHDK Zurich. I named it Amateur, because I felt like one designing my first font ever.

Mary Long was a boat that once upon a time curved around on the lake of Zurich. May she rest in peace!
It was a real honor to be part of the design team for the Vans winter 15/16 snow collection. The legendary skate, surf and snowboard brand from California has always been one of my favorite labels since I started being interested in board sports. Thus I felt very stoked contributing to this small but prestigious collection.
New Identity for the Costa Rica based travel agency "Imagenes Tropicales". The old Logo was very outdated. It consisted of flowers, leaves and a quetzal which is a typical costa rican bird. The client wanted to stick to the quetzal so I radically reduced the shapes and colors. The turquoise color of the gradient is used as a fresh element on the stationery and also as a color-cut on the business cards.
Logo design for the Zurich-based House and Techno DJ Muchostylez.
The Swiss airline "Edelweiss", specialized in holiday-destinations was in urgent need of a fresh and up-to-date inflight magazine.
Together with Boll Verlag I won the pitch for the new magazine.
We convinced the client with a brand new design concept based on a slim format (due to tight spaces inside planes), bigger and better pictures, more whitespace and playful typography. Also we came up with some fresh ideas regarding the content linking to social media channels and engaging the reader to participate.
The Issues (4 every year) are produced by Boll Verlag together with the graphic design agency "Smallstories" and myself.
For the German ski-brand PYUA, focussing on ecologically produced outerwear, I designed a small collection of 9 Styles (M/W).

Repeating laser patterns (wood surface treatment) for the Bern-based carpenter Strasserthun. The traditional family-owned-and-operated enterprise specializes in designing and building exclusive interiors and offers state-of-the-art solutions utilising innovative new materials and surface refinements.
Jeff, a bold brush typeface I created for display use. It consists of only uppercase glyphs, numbers and special characters.
For Swiss Interior Designer Francesca Alder I created this repeatable Pattern. Designed to be lasered into the wooden surface of the welcome desk of a Hotel in the Swiss Alps. It consists of regional flowers and abstract mountaintops.
In collaboration with the label "Dillysocks", famous for its colorful and fun designs, I created these socks.

Logo design created for an indoor freeclimbing- and bouldering-event sponsored by Ford. The icon, inspired by the characteristic shape of handles on indoor climbing walls, looks like it has it's own personality. This logo was created during an internship at the event agency "FAF".
